How to Watch the NFL in HD for Free

It's NFL season, and if you have an HDTV then you will have an opportunity to watch the games as they were meant to be seen.

But don't worry if you don't have the pricey NFL Sunday Ticket with Superfan. If you are able to receive regular HDTV broadcasts, then all you need is an HDTV with a built-in tuner and a old antenna. Many Fox and CBS stations broadcast NFL games weekly over-the-air in high definition. And you can pick up these broadcasts with an old VHF/UHF antenna. You may need to play around with the location of the antenna, depending on where you live, but I don't have a problem receiving HD signals in my basement where I live.

Many people don't realize that the quality of HDTV through a regular antenna can often exceed the quality of satellite or cable. The broadcasts are usually completely uncompressed. So grab that old antenna out of the garage and enjoy the NFL for free in beautiful high definition.
